The Unsinkable said...: They are beautiful, aren't they? My grandmother lived the last years of her life in a town in the Mojave Desert. In one of my favorite pictures of her, she is sitting on the hillside with yellow poppies surrounding her for as far as the eye can see. I wonder where that photo is....hmmmm.

In another favorite, she is standing under a Joshua tree. The desert is beautiful in its seasons. Treacherous and beautiful.
